A great example of this is the recent relining of one of our furnaces at Sierra Aluminum. We have two furnaces on site, producing more than 400K lbs. of liquid of metal a day. This liquid metal is then cast into logs and cut into billets, which ultimately become extrusions. Having a foundry is a unique asset for Samuel. It allows us to cast on demand, giving our customers the exact solution they’re looking for.
